Celtic Rendez-vous - Bretagne / Ireland
Gerry O’Connor (Fiddle), Gilles Le Bigot (Guitar) et Jean-Michel Veillon (Flute)

One of Ireland's most outstanding fiddle players meets two renowned French traditional musicians! "Sparkling" and with "Dazzling Ability" were words used recently by the national press to describe the music of Gerry O'Connor (fiddle). His family has played fiddle for at least four generations and Gerry draws on this wealth of music learned from his mother Rose O'Connor. Gilles Le Bigot (guitar) is a well known guitarist in the world of Celtic music. For over 25 years, he has participated in many musical adventures: The Heritage of the Celts, Kornog, Skolvan and played with many international artists such as Donal Lunny, Karan Casey, Carlos Nunes… Jean-Michel Veillon (flute) was a child prodigy on the bombarde. In 1977, he became interested in Irish music, particularly the wooden flute. In 1979, together with Paddy O'Neill and the piper Martin Nolan, he founded the Breton-Irish Band Kornog. Jean-Michel achieved widespread recognition as one of world’s premier traditional flute players.
